First Visit Expectations
Gentle, non-forceful chiropractic treatment is the hallmark of my practice. When a patient comes into the office it is important to me that they feel welcome and comfortable. At the initial consultation, we discuss health and family history. I want to understand a patient’s lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and the stresses they are affected by. Additionally, what brought them to the office; was it a particular problem or a desire for wellness?
When a patient lays down on my table I assess and treat their whole body. Even if symptoms are only in one area of our bodies, it acts as a whole. Any one part will affect all the parts. I look at the muscle tone and symmetry. I evaluate strength, balance, and range of motion.
I perform a series of orthopedic and neurological tests to help determine the cause of a specific problem. The patient and I then decide if chiropractic care is the right treatment.
Healthcare is a team approach. My job is to be the “health” part of healthcare.
Sometimes small corrections create huge changes.
